If we’re going to live precisely for God’s purpose in our lives, one of the things we must never forget is our spiritual gifts. God gave each of us special gifts He wants us to use to glorify Him and live on point.
As we live day-to-day we discover something. It is easy to allow the fire or our passion for serving God to diminish to a flicker. Distractions of the world interfere with our best intentions. However, if we’re going to live intentionally we must be committed to intensify our efforts to stay on point with our gifts.
When we intentionally seek to use our spiritual gifts, we discover something. Our gifts inspire and impact others. Never forget that when we allow God to live through our spiritual gifts we will influence those around us for the Kingdom of God. People will take notice of us. They will see Jesus living through us.
Don’t let the flames of your spiritual gifts die out. If you’re not using your spiritual gifts, or if you notice the flames dying down, put more wood (God’s Word and prayer) on the fire.
PRAYER: Father, we thank You that You have given us spiritual gifts we can use to live intentionally and precisely on point in the center of Your will. Father, keep us focused on the needs of others. If we feel those flames dying out, encourage us to re-focus on You and Your presence in our lives. Help us remain totally committed to living lives as bond servants to You, employing our special gifts daily to glorify Your name. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
