Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him.

The Beatitudes

And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Who do you listen to? What are you learning?

Commitment is evidenced by living inside the principles of the Beatitudes!

Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mind and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:34

The humble have seen it and are glad; you who seek God and let your heart revive. Psalm 69:32

It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil of the proud. Proverbs 16:19

Listen, my beloved brethren; did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? James 2:5

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt. 1:3
Linking our lives to Jesus’ heart—

Poor in spirit—Dependence
Result-Kingdom of heaven
*It is essential to position our hearts in desperate need of Jesus-

II. Mourn—Inevitable
Result—Comfort
*It is inevitable that grief will come but His comfort will be there-

III. Gentle—-Choice
Result—Inheritance
*It is rewarding to choose a life that is gentle and powerful-

Building a humble life—
*Yield to His Spirit
*Open to His ways
*Learn to look up
Will you surrender?
