Children are a precious gift from God! And as the adults in their lives, we have the awesome privilege of teaching them to know Jesus Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him.
Our caring teachers and volunteers willingly pour out their hearts and devote their time to enriching the lives of the children in our care. From infants to fifth grade, there are classes and
activities for everyone.
KIDS Connections Classes
OHC KIDS is for Birth- Grade 5 and start at 9:15 a.m. In our Connections hour we use Lifeway’s Gospel Project for Kids. The Gospel Project for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation.
KIDS Worship Hour is for grades K-5 and begins at 10:15 a.m. During our Worship Hour we use The Gospel Project curriculum. During this time we use large group and small group strategies to reinforce the learning from our connection classes.

OHC KIDS SPARK MID-WEEK program is for children 4 years of age to Kindergarten, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. This program uses a great curriculum called Spark Active Faith curriculum. We teach one Bible story every month through different workshops. These workshops allow the kids to dive deeper into the Bible story and help them to make connections to the story that will stay with them into the future. The workshops include Bible skills, art, science, music, cooking and drama. At the end of every month we celebrate what we have learned with a fun night of snacks, crafts and games.

OHC KIDS TEAM KID MID-WEEK program is for kids grades 1-5, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. This program uses a great curriculum called TeamKid Character Challenge. With Character Challenge, each week your child will learn a new character trait God wants them to develop. Ranging from being honest to being joyful, the topics each week will challenge your child to make that character trait part of their lives.

In addition to this curriculum, OHC KIDS MID-WEEK also spends time participating in special mission projects with our canned food drive, mission’s night and Christmas projects.

Join us on January 8th, during our Wednesday night program, as our OHC KIDS spend an evening learning about our OHC Romania mission team and make a game for the orphans of Romania. We will also learn a little about the Romanian culture. This is for children pre-k to 5th grade.

On January 12, OHC KIDS and Preschool will begin using a new computerized check in system. This will also affect our tag system in which we will be moving to disposable sticker tags. There will be more information on this in the days to come.

Starting Wednesday January 15, OHC KIDS MID-WEEK will be making a curriculum change to TeamKid Character Challenge. With Character Challenge, each week we will teach your child a new character trait God wants them to develop. This curriculum is written for grades 1-5. Kindergarten will be continuing in our SPARK curriculum. More information is available at our OHC KIDS Welcome Desk.
