Make Disciples

“go and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20.

This was Jesus’ last command. His last teaching. His last advice to the twelve who would change the world. When we read this we realize something. Every single day you live, you have an opportunity to follow this command. We don’t live in this day, in this hour, in this moment by accident.

We’re watching our culture fall apart. It’s going to take a vibrant witness from each of us if we’re going to impact the world for Christ. We have a responsibility given to us by Jesus himself to know Jesus and let others know what Jesus means to us.

It’s easy to tell someone else we love them with the love of Jesus. It’s a lot harder to show them.

It’s time for each of us to authenticate who we are and Who we follow.

All of you know someone, and some of you know even more than one person who needs to know who Jesus is.

If you take time to think and no one comes across your radar, then maybe you should ask yourself where Jesus is on your list of priorities.

Father, I am aware of your command to us to go and make disciples and teach others what You have taught me. O God, give me the vision and awareness to identify those around me who need to know you. Then, O God, give me the courage to reach out to them and let them know what You have done in my life. As I watch our culture fall apart around us, I know we are approaching that day when You will return. Father, help me feel no regret at the sound of that trumpet that I have failed to share Jesus with someone I know needs to hear my story.
