Living Faith – Writing a Beautiful Story

Living Faith – Writing a Beautiful Story – Galatians 2:20-21 (NASB)

Everyone has a story. Some are good and some bad. Many people are able to see their story has it unfolds while others struggle to understand what their purpose in life is. Christians who have a living faith are able to recognize that God is in control and He is constantly writing a beautiful story.

Sometimes we make wonder and ask questions about our story. What is lacking in my story? Can I gauge my impact? Who do I need to engage?

Paul speaks very clearly in Galatians 2:20-21 about having a living faith and allowing God to write the story of our lives. He says that we are to die to self and allow God to lead through grace. When Paul states, “I am crucified…” he is saying that we have an identity in Jesus. He produces the faith and grace we need. “Christ lives in me…” shows us that the Power of Christ is in us. “Live by faith…” means we must participate in the Christian life in order to build a living faith. “Loved me…” is motivation for us to continue to work for Jesus. “Gave Himself up for me…” points us to the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus paid on the cross for us to have a living faith.

What are some keys to allowing God to write your beautiful story? Eliminate distraction. Allow nothing to get in the way of you having a right relationship with God. Increase Direction. Simply up, keep doing what will glorify God. Commit to Impact. Begin now to make a difference in your life and in the lives of others around you. Inspiration increases. Be inspired by God’s word and the word’s God often uses through others. And finally, encourage, don’t excuse. Don’t offer excuses for lazy living. Be motivated by encouraging everyone you come in contact with!

How will you allow God to write your story today?
