We enter the most important season of the year as we anticipate Easter. Easter is centered in hope! The hope of the resurrection! It is in this season that we encounter the real difference between Jesus and all other religions. The empty grave!
“But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.” Acts 2:24
In the days leading up to the Cross Jesus modeled some distinctive qualities that I’d like to challenge you to think about! In the encounters with those He loved He expressed His intimacy! He also modeled inspiration! Finally, He modeled intensity. Nothing in history has been as intense as the Son of God being on the cross for our sins.
Now, let’s take those three parts and consider them for our own application! Jesus intends for us to have:
*An intimate relationship with Him
*An inspiring relationship with Him
*An intense pursuit of Him
It all boils down to application. Would you let this Easter season capture your attention and lead you to these amazing concepts?
The alternative is a life of inadequacy, immaturity and insecurity. The cross conquers all of those things and positions us to live a boldly effective life that is centered in hope.
