How consistent in your daily walk? (Acts 2:42-47)

Gearl Spicer Gearl Spicer, November 3, 2019
Part of the Day by Day – Empowered By His Favor series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Acts 2:42–47 (Listen)

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Acts 2:42-47
11/3/19

How consistent in your daily walk?

*Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread
From house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness
And sincerity of hearts, praising God and having FAVOR with all the people.
And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being
saved. 2:46-47

Three Distinct Calls to Consistency-

I. Live in anticipation of His AWE—v.43
*All He wants to do in us is centered in repentance and the Gospel!

II. Commit to meet NEEDS to His Glory—v.44-45
*Every need we identify and meet brings honor and glory to Jesus!

III. PRACTICE core convictions—v.46-47
*Joy and sincerity opened the door to power and favor!
