Norcross Cooperative Ministries Food Drive
On the Sundays of November 1st and November 8th, OHC will be collecting food donations to help the Norcross Co-Op in their continued effort to provide food for many individuals and families in our community who are in need. We are specifically looking to collect canned meat, jelly, and canned fruit. Be sure to bring your donation to church in those first few weeks of November to bless our community with the love of Christ by meeting a tangible need. Food will be collected in the main lobby. Please be sure to check expiration dates!

Missions Emphasis Sunday – November 8
Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 8 as our annual Missions Emphasis Sunday. That morning OHC will be blessed by visiting missionaries as we celebrate all that God is doing through OHC. Our theme this year is ENGAGE THE HEART, CHANGE THE WORLD. Our mission booths will open at 9:00 a.m. and the following missionaries will be with us: APRC, Action Ministries, Ambassadors for Christ, Agapao, Conexion Training, ELAM, Gilgal, Norcross Cooperative Ministry, OHC Global Missions, Live the Promise, Peru Missions, Shepherd Fellowship of India, TEAM, Tetelestai Missions, Youth Outreach United, Whirlwind Missions and Operation Mobilization. In addition to these awesome ministries we are so excited to announce that OHC Missionaries, Alex and Jess Garcia will be with us most of the month of November. They are currently serving in Italy. This year’s theme is ENGAGE – Engage the Heart, Change the World and is taken from the Great Commission. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NASB)

Joy Club November Meeting

Preschool Community Outreach
On Friday, November 20 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. our preschoolers and their families will come together for pizza and an evening of wrapping toys. There will be about 100 toys for us to wrap from Children’s Hunger Outreach. A representative from the ministry will be there to tell us about where the toys are going! Pizza and an ice cream bar will be served!

Local Missions: Blanket Making for Elderly
We need volunteers to help us with a new local missions project! On Sunday, November 22 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., we are gathering together in the Fellowship Hall to make simple fleece tie blankets, to be used as an outreach and blessing to members of an area nursing home at a later date. If you can tie a double knot and use scissors, we need you! Lunch will be provided. In order to make these blankets in a way that is cost efficient, we also need donations of fleece material. Each blanket requires two pieces of fleece material, each cut at 1.5 yards. Basic felt can be purchased at fabric stores for around $5.00 per yard. Felt can be any color.
